Tackling problems with pragmatism

Die Umsetzung einer Idee
A question asked by a customer got the ball rolling. This customer of today's sister company Karopack asked whether it would be possible to pack loose vermiculite granules in bags to use them as cushions for transport. So, we started making cushion covers of long fibre paper (tea bag paper) and filling them with vermiculite.
From that time onward, the customer had access to a clean, dust-free packing solution and no longer had to struggle with loose, dusty vermiculite.

The idea expands
What began with the customer’s question quickly proved to be the best practice for other companies too. The dust-free alternative for transport protection of dangerous goods was born. Today, customers from all over Europe rely on Karolit cushions.

Packing even more - turn 1 into 3
In 2018, we introduced two more cushion covers on the market, both ideally suited for transporting and shipping defective lithium-ion batteries. Customers can choose between cushion covers made of tear-resistant fleece and fire-resistant glass fibre fabric with extra fire protection. You can order our cushions in almost any size.

Seize the opportunity - turn 1 into 2
Both divisions, Karolit and Karopack, had developed very well over the years. In 2020, we split Kreiter GmbH into two independent companies: While Karopack GmbH takes care of the safe transport of "normal" packaged goods, Karolit GmbH focuses on the transport of hazardous goods. We intend to continue to tackle problems in a pragmatic manner in the future and seize good opportunities - so that you can pack everything well and safely.
